10 min. documentary, “Spirit on the Streets”

Hare Krishna devotees have been a fixture on the streets of major cities, around the world, for more than 40 years. Armed with spiritual literature and sporting saffron robes, they are instantly recognizable as they chant and drum but their presence is not necessarily understood.

Following the teaching of a centuries-old spiritual movement, from India, the Hare Krishna hope to impart the teaching of the Bhagavad-gita and the practice of Bhakti-yoga. Being on the streets and greeting people passing by is all a part of the tradition.

Nick Logan is pleased to present his first documentary, Spirit on the Streets, to the general public. His 10-minute film will take you through the history of this fascinating movement and introduce you to individuals who have chosen to pursue a monastic life dedicated to Krishna consciousness.

Cameraman for “Sights Unseen” — Documentary by Kim Hart Macneill

Note from Kim Hart Macneill, March 30, 2010: I’m sad to say that Holly died on Sunday March 28. My thoughts are with her family and friends. She was a wonderfully strong person and I’m glad I had the brief opportunity to know her.
