About

Nick Logan has been giving into the urge to run away since the tender age of three — the first time he escaped home and wandered free. Now at the age of 32, with less threat of parental retribution, he travels the world with cameras and recording devices to make news stories, short documentaries and photo collections.

Now, at least, he has a journalism degree (King’s ’09) to add some legitimacy to his wanderlust. He has left footprints in 42 countries and will soon leave more in new corners of globe.

Nick recently began work as an audio producer with VoicePrint Canada, a national broadcast news reading service for vision- and print-impaired individuals. At the same time he has been an online and print freelance reporter.

Nick worked as a web reporter with the Japanese NGO Peace Boat from December 2009 until April 2010. As a part of the 68th global voyage team, he traveled the southern hemisphere, by ship, writing and taking photos while visiting countries such as Taiwan, The Philippines, South Africa, Namibia, Uruguay, Peru, and Fiji, as well as cruising through the Antarctic.

Nick is seeking out publications, websites and broadcast programs interested in freelance pieces about southern cultures, development, NGOs and grassroots organizations, youth projects and human rights activism.

Nick normally doesn’t stay in place for too long, but is currently based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. He can be contacted easiest through email. Send an email to Nick Logan
